Felix Carrasquillo, a 30-year-old man from Reading, PA, tragically died on October 19, 2018, after being shot in the 900 block of North Ninth Street. According to police reports, Carrasquillo was involved in an argument with Joaquin A. Ortiz-Ayala, 27, over the sale of car stereo speakers. The altercation escalated when Ortiz-Ayala pulled out a firearm and fired several shots in Carrasquillo's direction. Carrasquillo was struck in the torso and later died from his injuries at Reading Hospital.
