In the early morning hours of December 23, 2017, the life of 18-year-old Julian Wesley Alexander DeShields was tragically cut short on Clover Lane in Chester, Pennsylvania. The young Black male was discovered lying in the middle of the street, having been shot multiple times in the back. Paramedics who arrived at the scene were unable to save him and pronounced him dead.
