LaVaun Steward, a 32-year-old male of African American ethnicity, was tragically shot to death on December 12, 2017, in Philadelphia, PA. He was found inside his residence on the 5500 block of Greenway Avenue, lying on the floor of the enclosed porch. Steward had been shot in his back and abdomen. The house belonged to his mother, but he had stayed behind in Southwest Philly to renovate it.
