In the early moments of a Sunday morning, the life of Tyrell Boggs, a 29-year-old Black male, was brought to a tragic and abrupt end. On August 7, 2016, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the 3400 block of Braddock Street in the Kensington neighborhood. There, they discovered Boggs lying in the street, having been shot multiple times. Paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that he had died from his injuries.
