In the cool of a late September evening in 2014, the life of Jermaine Oden, a 39-year-old Black male from Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, was tragically cut short on a street in McKeesport. On Tuesday, September 23rd, at approximately 10:10 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 9th and Locust Streets. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Oden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
