On the evening of February 17, 2010, at approximately 8:00 PM, Chester police responded to a reported shooting in the 2100 block of West 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Charles Johnson, a 49-year-old male resident of the address, seated on the floor, bleeding profusely. Investigators determined that Mr. Johnson had been shot multiple times in the legs during an apparent home invasion. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
