In the summer of 2005, a family and community in Chester, Pennsylvania, were irrevocably altered by an act of violence that claimed the life of Fareed Patrick. On June 15, 2005, the 24-year-old Black / African American male was tragically killed. His death, a result of gun violence, marked another life cut short in the city and left a void in the lives of those who knew him.
