A 35 year old father and Army veteran is shot at his Montgomery, AL barber shop On a day that should have been filled with celebration, a beloved member of the Montgomery, Alabama community was taken too soon. On October 14, 2014, which was also the 17th birthday of his son, 35-year-old Charlie Jay McCord, a male U.S. Army veteran and father of eight, was fatally shot inside his own business. The tragic event unfolded at his barbershop, 'Mr Barber Man,' located in the 1500 block of Mt. Meigs Road.
