Jesus Javier Sanchez, a 36-year-old Hispanic man from McAllen, Texas, tragically died on December 20, 2022. According to reports, Sanchez was found unresponsive and bleeding on the ground by Marlene Natalia Rodriguez, who was with him at the time of the incident.

The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects: Jayson Martinez Gonzalez, a 35-year-old McAllen resident, and Reinaldo Rafael Sanchez Jr., a 46-year-old Edinburg resident. Gonzalez was accused of shooting Sanchez multiple times, while Reinaldo was charged as an accomplice. Both men were indicted on murder charges. Gonzalez admitted to wearing makeup and a wig to disguise himself as a woman during the incident. However, he claimed that Reinaldo was the one who actually fired the shots.
The case is ongoing, and both suspects are awaiting trial.
