Jaylen Christopher Mays, a 23-year-old man from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on February 27, 2022. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Collingsworth in northeast Houston. According to the Houston Police Department, Mays was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect during what appeared to be a business transaction. The suspect then dragged Mays inside the apartment before fleeing the scene. Mays was pronounced dead at the scene.
