Jakari Hogan, a 23-year-old male from Shreveport, tragically lost his life on January 30, 2022, in Cherokee County, Texas. Hogan, along with 20-year-old Ronnie Pearson, was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on Highway 79 East at the Cherokee and Rusk County line. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office received a call early that morning from the Rusk County Sheriff's Office about two injured men found on the side of the road.
