On December 2, 2019, at approximately 12:20 a.m., 34-year-old African American male Chris Washington was fatally shot at the Deep Ellum DART station in Dallas, Texas. The incident began with an altercation inside a DART train near Gaston Avenue and Good Latimer Expressway. As Washington exited the train, the assailant shot him multiple times in the head, resulting in his immediate death. The suspect fled the scene promptly after the shooting.
