Jannerra Williams, a 28-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on May 5, 2019, at the Quality Inn Hotel located at 7928 Gessner Drive. The incident occurred when Williams was in his hotel room, and people nearby reported hearing a loud bang before seeing three men and a woman running out of the room. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:31 p.m.
