Thomas Powley, a 58-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically died on July 5, 2017, from a gunshot wound in the backyard of a home on San Angelo Drive in Benbrook. The incident occurred when police responded to a report of a shooting at around 11:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Powley deceased and another man who had been shot in the leg. The suspect, identified as John Lawrence Conroy, Powley's brother, was found barricaded inside the home.
