Ruler Stefon Matthew Bailey, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on March 15, 2017, at an apartment complex in East Austin, Texas. Shortly before 12:45 p.m., Austin police began receiving reports of gunfire from the 6400 block of Springdale Road, near Manor Road. When an officer arrived, people at the complex directed police toward the second-floor breezeway of one of the buildings, where Bailey was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
