Pfc. Randal Kenneth Anderson, a 22-year-old male soldier of Caucasian ethnicity, tragically died on January 2, 2017, in Killeen, Texas. Anderson was a member of the 2nd Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, stationed at Fort Hood . He had joined the Army in February 2015 and was assigned to his unit in June 2016. Anderson's awards and decorations included the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
