On May 8, 2016, 39-year-old Hispanic male Rigoberto Jose Castillo was fatally shot in Austin, Texas. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. at a taco truck parked in the Lanier Village Shopping Center. Castillo was waiting in line when a group of individuals cut in front of him, leading to a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation.
