Jawanza Rooker, a 20-year-old male from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2014. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of North Loop West, where Jawanza and a female friend were involved in a drug deal that went awry. After the deal failed, unknown suspects followed them and fired several shots at their vehicle. Jawanza, who was driving, lost control of the car and crashed into a median.
