Wayland Clark, a 24-year-old male from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on January 4, 2014. He was attending a large birthday party at a private residence in the 6200 block of Nyoka Street when the incident occurred. Around 1 a.m., unknown suspects sitting in a parked vehicle in a nearby business parking lot fired shots at the partygoers. Clark was struck by the gunfire and was immediately transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
