Game Warden Justin Phillip Hurst, aged 34, was shot and killed on March 16, 2007, in Wharton County, Texas. The incident occurred following a high-speed pursuit on U.S. Route 90 ALT. The pursuit began when another game warden suspected a man of illegally hunting from the roadside.
