Lula Belle Nolte Welsh, a 64-year-old woman of Caucasian ethnicity from Waco, Texas, tragically lost her life on October 16, 1991, in Killeen, Texas. She was one of the victims of the Luby's Cafeteria shooting massacre, which remains one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. The perpetrator, George Jo Hennard, a 35-year-old former merchant seaman, drove his pickup truck through the front window of the cafeteria and opened fire on the patrons and staff inside.
