On a Sunday evening in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of a young Black man, Caron Giles, was tragically cut short. On February 23, 2025, the 24-year-old was fatally shot. First responders rushed him to Jackson Hospital, but despite their efforts, Giles was pronounced dead from his injuries. The Montgomery Police Department was called to the hospital and immediately began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, which they are treating as a homicide.
