Brendon Ford, an 18-year-old Black male, was shot in the early hours of June 16, 2013, in North Omaha. Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation around 1:23 to 1:30 a.m. near 22nd and Saratoga Streets and found two teenagers wounded outside a residence at 2220 Saratoga Street. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene; Ford was rushed to Creighton University Medical Center, where he died shortly after arrival. Authorities identified the second victim as 17-year-old D’Marco Pope.
