On April 12, 2025, Jermaine Porter, a 25-year-old African American male, was found fatally shot in an alley behind a bar on Chicago's Far South Side. The victim was wearing a ski mask and had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Notably, no 911 calls were made to report the gunfire that led to his death.
