On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in Albany, Georgia, that claimed the life of 33-year-old Chelsea Milledge, a Black mother of four. In the sanctity of her own home, she was fatally shot in an incident that her 10-year-old daughter tragically witnessed. Although her children were physically unharmed, the emotional scars of that day are profound. Emergency services rushed Milledge to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, but despite undergoing surgery, she succumbed to her injuries.
