Rene Diaz, a 42-year-old man from Lake Elsinore, was fatally shot on December 23, 2024, in the 2500 block of Spectacular Bid Street in Perris, California. Deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon just before midnight and found Diaz suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, where he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries on December 29, 2024.
