In the late hours of a Thursday night in Lafayette, Louisiana, the life of 24-year-old Joseph Bargeman Jr., a man known for his passion for boxing, was tragically cut short. On April 3, 2025, officers from the Lafayette Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive following reports of a shooting in progress. Upon their arrival at approximately 11:25 p.m., they discovered Bargeman's body, bearing the fatal wounds of multiple gunshots.
