In the early morning hours of a Wednesday in Annapolis, Maryland, the life of 36-year-old John Simms Jr. was tragically cut short. On March 19, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., gunshots shattered the morning calm in the 100 block of Clay Street. When police arrived, they discovered Simms suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. An 11-year-old child was also found at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the foot.
