In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on the afternoon of January 6, 2025, a sequence of events unfolded that tragically ended the life of 30-year-old Black male, Leonard Browder. Around 4:00 p.m., police officers were flagged down near the intersection of Shelley Street and Scenic Highway regarding a single-vehicle accident. Not far from the wreck, officers discovered Browder lying in a nearby field. It was soon realized that a car crash was not the primary incident; Browder had sustained gunshot wounds.
