On the evening of January 17, 2025, a dispute in the hallway of the Candlewood Suites hotel on Walker Road in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, ended in the death of 43-year-old Ted A Guerrier, a Black/African American male. Police were called to the hotel at approximately 5:08 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Guerrier on the floor of a hallway, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
