Justin J. Betz, a 42-year-old White/Caucasian man from La Crosse, Wisconsin, was fatally shot during the early morning hours of January 19, 2025, outside Newie's Vogue Bar and Grill on George Street on the city's north side. At approximately 2:30 a.m., La Crosse police officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of George Street after reports of gunfire.
