Miriam McKinley was a 65-year-old white female residing in Inglewood, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. In June 1976, she became one of several elderly women targeted in a series of brutal home invasion attacks. Ms. McKinley was found beaten, sexually assaulted, and strangled inside her home, her life violently cut short by an unknown assailant. Her body was discovered in her garage, bearing signs consistent with other related attacks on vulnerable elderly women in the region.
