On April 15, 1981, the body of 22-year-old Louise Ann Dal Santo, a white female, was discovered in her apartment at the Woodcreek complex in Clarkston, Georgia. She was found lying face down in the bathtub, having been sexually assaulted and strangled by hand. The perpetrator had left her submerged in scalding water.
