In the summer of 1980, a wave of fear was already gripping the city of Atlanta as children began to disappear. On June 23rd of that year, 10-year-old African-American boy Aaron Wyche vanished, adding to the city's growing dread. He was last seen near Tanner's Corner Grocery, a local store in his neighborhood. A witness later reported seeing Aaron being led away by a Black male, described as being around 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing 180 pounds, with a mustache and goatee.
