Edgar Gomez, 17, male, was shot and killed late on the night of September 19, 2025, on the 300 block of Cross Avenue in Salinas. Officers responding around 11 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert and multiple 911 calls found three victims; Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene along with 20-year-old Jesus Guido Rosales, while a third 17-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was expected to recover.
