In the pre-dawn hours of August 30, 2025, a black Tesla pulled up to Atlanta Fire Station #2 on Jonesboro Road SE, carrying a gravely wounded Daeshun Jackson. The 28-year-old Black/African American male had been shot, and though firefighters rendered aid, he was pronounced dead at the station shortly after 3 a.m. The area around the fire station was quickly sealed off as family and friends gathered in shock.
