Nicco Diamante Wong, 19, a Black male, was shot on the evening of June 9, 2025, inside a home on Forest Lake Drive in unincorporated Altamonte Springs. Deputies arrived around 7:48 p.m. and found him with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives quickly determined the killing was not random and that the people involved knew one another.
Interviews with witnesses and digital evidence led investigators to identify two acquaintances of Wong—18-year-old Tristin Tully Bennette and 24-year-old Natalia Precious Voltaire—as suspects. According to the sheriff’s office, the pair came to the residence under the pretense of helping clean, then tried to steal firearms. In the confrontation that followed, Voltaire shot Wong before fleeing with Bennette.
A be-on-the-lookout was issued for a white Chevrolet Camaro, and the next afternoon Altamonte Springs police stopped the car in the East Altamonte area near Northlake Boulevard. Occupants were detained, multiple firearms and other evidence were recovered, and both Voltaire and Bennette were questioned and arrested.
Prosecutors charged Voltaire and Bennette with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, and grand theft of a firearm. They were booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility without bond. The investigation remains active, and authorities have asked anyone with additional information to come forward.
