Ayden Randall Paige, 18, male, White/Caucasian, died on August 18, 2025, after a shooting on Springfield’s southeast side near South 14th Street and Cornell Avenue. Responding officers found three people with gunshot wounds around 5:50 p.m.; two suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while Ayden was rushed to HSHS St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:52 p.m. An autopsy determined he died from a single gunshot wound.
