In the afternoon hours of a late September day, tragedy struck in the streets of Baltimore. Virgil Holland, a 31-year-old Black man, was gunned down in the 1200 block of West North Avenue on September 26, 2025. Responding to a call just after 4:15 p.m., police officers discovered Holland with life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries the following day, on September 27, 2025.
