In the early morning hours of July 31, 2025, a 14-year-old male named Jacarin Scott was fatally shot in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans. The incident occurred at approximately 4:22 a.m. in the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue. According to his family, the bright and beloved teenager was simply on his way to a neighborhood convenience store when his life was tragically cut short. The shooting happened right across from the mart.
