In the early morning hours of July 16, 2025, the life of Eddie Johnson, a 41-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in his Baton Rouge, Louisiana home. The fatal incident unfolded around 3:15 a.m. in the 5300 block of Bank Street, a neighborhood located off of Airline Highway. In an act of violence, an unknown individual or individuals fired multiple gunshots into Johnson's residence.
