On the early morning of Saturday, May 17, 2025, violence erupted on the streets of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of 50-year-old Dante Franklin. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched just after 2:00 a.m. to the 4200 block of College Avenue following reports of a shooting in the residential area. Upon their arrival, they discovered the male victim lying unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a house, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
