In the late summer of 2025, the community of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, was shaken by the tragic death of one of its own. Detective Sergeant Cody Michael Becker, a 39-year-old male and a respected member of the Northern York County Regional Police Department, was killed in the line of duty on September 17, 2025. His death, which occurred during what authorities described as a brutal ambush, also claimed the lives of two of his colleagues, Detective Mark Baker and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser.
