In the late afternoon of October 15, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana, tragedy struck at a place typically reserved for recreation and community gathering. Eighteen-year-old Chance’lor Parker, a male resident of Slidell, was near Possum Hollow Park when gunfire erupted around 5 p.m. First responders arrived to find Parker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
