Phuc Minh Vo, a 34-year-old man from San Jose, went out in the early hours of November 2, 2025, to Z Town Gastro Bar, a Korean restaurant and bar on the 8400 block of Elk Grove Florin Road in Elk Grove. In the crowded, late-night atmosphere just after 1:30 a.m., an argument inside the bar flared between another patron, later identified by police as 43-year-old Sacramento resident Roderick Randall, and one of the men there.
