In the early morning hours of Friday, October 31, 2025, the life of 29-year-old Kenneth Lamar Spencer, a Black man from Tallassee, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Gunfire erupted in the 300 block of Second Avenue, and when Tallassee police officers responded to a 911 call, they found Spencer suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Tallassee Community Hospital by a private vehicle but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
