On the afternoon of December 13, 2025, authorities in McHenry County, Illinois, responded to a call for a well-being check that led to a grim discovery at a rural property near Harvard. Deputies from the Sheriff's Office, alongside the Harvard Fire Protection District, arrived at the home on the 4500 block of Island Road around 4:45 p.m. Inside the residence, they found 65-year-old Italian Santina Perri deceased from a fatal gunshot wound.
