On the morning of Monday, February 2, 2026, a fatal shooting on Milwaukee's east side claimed the life of 50-year-old Angelo Daremius Artea Nelson. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. in the stairwell of Nelson's apartment building near Astor Street and Knapp Street.
