An evening visit with a friend turned fatal for 29-year-old Gregory Middlebrooks on Monday, February 2, 2026, in Forsyth, Georgia. At approximately 9:30 p.m., a concerned citizen's 911 call reporting a disturbance at the Forsyth Gardens Apartments dispatched Forsyth police to the scene. There, they discovered Middlebrooks near his vehicle, having sustained a single gunshot wound. Emergency medical technicians assessed the situation, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.
