In the late afternoon of Friday, January 30, 2026, Shannon O'Brien, a 28-year-old woman from Saint Louis, Missouri, was fatally shot in Ferguson. The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. in the 1700 block of Windward Court. Ferguson Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire and, upon arrival, discovered O'Brien with at least one gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
